The Queer Museum & Library Network will begin its strategic planning phase in early 2026, and we could use your help getting started.

There is a wide range of positions with varying needs in expertise and commitment, so there is something for everyone.

All work can be done remotely from anywhere in the world.

Support will be needed in the areas of:

  • Administrative Operations

  • Nonprofit Incorporation and IRS Compliance

  • DEAI (Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion)

  • Volunteer Management

  • IT (Software Implementations)

Positions

Volunteer

  • Performs regular tasks related to particular area(s)

  • Commitment can be project-based or time-based

  • No experience needed

Committee Member

  • Attends monthly committee meetings

  • Commitment of ~11 months

  • Experience in field of museums, libraries, or other informational institutions

Sub-Committee Chair

  • Attends monthly committee meetings

  • Leads sub-committee related to particular area

  • Commitment of ~11 months

  • Experience in field of museums, libraries, archives, or other informational institutions

  • Experience in sub-committee area

Consultant

  • Advises on best practices in particular area(s)

  • Commitment can be project-based or time-based

  • Expertise in particular area(s)
